Adam Levy brings over 25 years of diverse legal experience to the bench as the Presiding Judge on CBS Media Ventures' new court program, ADAM'S LAW, created by Judge Judy Sheindlin.
Having served two terms as Putnam County District Attorney in NY, Levy personally prosecuted a wide-range of criminal cases, including sexual assaults, political corruption, and witness intimidation matters. During his tenure, Putnam County experienced a 40 percent drop in property crime and was voted the safest county in NYS.
Levy was the Founding Member of the Putnam County Intelligence Committee, which united law enforcement across jurisdictions. The award-winning Drug Treatment Court Program he expanded helped countless residents transcend addiction.
As a 1992 Hofstra Law School graduate, Levy began his career as an ADA at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. He then co-founded Levy & Santoro in Carmel, NY. He was also an instructor at The National Institute of Trial Advocacy and a long-time educator at The New York Prosecutors Training Institute.
His daughter, lawyer Sarah Rose, is the law clerk on Judy Justice, where his mother, judicial icon Judge Judy Sheindlin, presides. Levy and his wife Lori have two other children, Jacob and Emma. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, scuba diving, white water rafting, and spending time with his family.
Attorney Jessica Ramirez serves as the law clerk on CBS Media Ventures' new court program ADAM'S LAW created by Judge Judy Sheindlin. Over her career, Ramirez has specialized in serious personal injury, sexual abuse, medical device and product liability litigation.
She was a former State Assemblywoman and has served on the New Jersey Ethics Committee, as well as an Eminent Domain Commissioner for the State of New Jersey.
Her 25-year legal career has allowed her to serve her community and the unrepresented. She worked as a contract attorney for the Public Defender's Office of New Jersey representing indigent clients and juveniles.
Ramirez is a member of the American Association for Justice's (AAJ) where she was selected as one of only 18 attorneys nationwide to participate in the AAJ Leadership Academy. She is also a member of The New Jersey Bar Association and The Hispanic National Bar Association.
A Puerto Rican native, Ramirez moved to New Jersey when she was eight years old. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Stockton University and her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University of Law.
Rodney Young serves as the bailiff on CBS Media Ventures' ADAM'S LAW, created by Judge Judy Sheindlin. Over his career, Young has had over 20 years of private, corporate and residential protection.
Most recently, Young worked with New Canaan Public Schools in Connecticut as an Elementary School Security Monitor, collaborating with the School Resource Officer on safety and welfare matters.
Previously, Young was a public safety dispatcher for The Greenwich Police Department, where he received emergency calls and dispatched appropriate services including police, fire and EMS. He managed and monitored the overall movement of all police and emergency units.
Young served in the United States Marine Corps as a Desert Storm veteran. In his spare time, he enjoys martial arts and personal training.
